Oryx & Anchor Charter Terms

These terms govern all yacht and boat rentals booked through Oryx & Anchor in Dubai. We operate a fleet of 88 vessels ranging from 33 to 164 feet, departing from Dubai Marina and Dubai Harbour. By paying a deposit for any charter, you accept the conditions outlined below.

Reserving your vessel and payment schedule

Prices across our fleet of 88 yachts and boats range from 600 AED to 18,900 AED per hour, with all applicable VAT already included. The minimum charter duration is 2 hours. A date and time slot is confirmed only upon receipt of a 30% deposit. We do not hold dates without this deposit. The remaining balance must be cleared prior to departure. Included in your booking rate are the vessel, licensed captain and crew, fuel, insurance, soft drinks, ice, towels, and life jackets. Additional options such as catering, water sports, or transfers are priced on request.

Coverage and operational responsibilities

Every charter booked with Oryx & Anchor includes full vessel insurance alongside a licensed captain and crew who manage all navigation from Dubai Marina or Dubai Harbour. Standard safety equipment, including certified life jackets, is supplied on every craft. Extras booked on request, such as jet skis, flyboards, paddle boards, or seabobs, are operated under the direct supervision of the onboard team. We handle all routine vessel maintenance and fuel requirements to ensure your scheduled charter proceeds strictly according to the agreed timeframe.

Rescheduling and weather adjustments

If adverse weather conditions prevent your vessel from sailing, you retain full control over the resolution. In such cases, we either agree a new date in the chat or issue a complete refund of your payment, depending entirely on your preference. If you wish to cancel or modify your booking for any other reason, please contact our team via the WhatsApp button on the page. We respond to all chat inquiries within 15 minutes between 9:00 and 23:00 GST daily to assist with your request.

Guest guidelines and vessel capacity

Our fleet supports guest groups up to a maximum capacity of 90 guests, depending on the specific vessel selected. No passport or ID is needed to board our boats. Guests are welcome to bring their own food and beverages, including alcoholic drinks, with zero corkage fees applied. Alternatively, catering, BBQ menus, and bar services can be arranged upon request. To ensure safety, all guests must follow the instructions of the licensed captain and crew while on board, including the proper use of provided life jackets when instructed.

Clear answers before booking

What happens if poor weather prevents our sailing?

If weather conditions make sailing impossible, you choose the outcome. We can either agree a new date for your charter in the chat or issue a full refund of your payment immediately.

Are deposits returned upon cancellation?

If a charter is cancelled due to unsafe weather conditions, your deposit is fully refundable unless you choose to reschedule. For any other cancellation queries, contact us via the WhatsApp button to discuss your options.

Are we allowed to supply our own refreshments?

Yes, guests may bring their own food and drinks on board, including alcohol. Oryx & Anchor charges no corkage fees. Alternatively, we can arrange catering, BBQ menus, and bar service on request.
